I’ve never been one to celebrate Chinese New Years, but taking uber pride in my dragonhood - I can’t hide the fact that I’m beyond stoked for this year.

There’s a lot I have to say and a lot I have to sing about Last Year. So much to share, and I’m so close to being ready for my stories to be heard, but for now, I’ll post this small excerpt that pretty much captures where I’m at and how I’m feeling about today.

You can’t bust my rhyme.
The year of the dragon has arrived.
I will shine. I will fly.

Hotter than the stars that owe me one

There were TWO bands in high school that ignited a fire in me. That gave me a secret life (no pun intended) and possessed me to sneak out to Hollywood or San Diego casinos on school nights alone when I said I was at a friend’s studying late. That gave me a fearless love for all music. That fueled my dreams to break talented and deserving artists in this crazy industry. That inspired me to make my first fan art, and toy with graphic design and teach myself guitar (Heavily Broken was the first “picking” song I ever learned and is now how I tune things by ear lol). That had me wearing pinstriped blazers, classic rock shirts, and the hideous belts that I did haha.

This is one of them. From their very first SIR rehearsal and on. 6 years. Still fighting. Welcome back (The) Veronicas. It’s about fucking time.
